Diabetics at TGI Friday
If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.
Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:
Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. About TGI Friday
TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. TGI Friday also offers gluten-free items on its menu for those with gluten intolerance.
Besides the cool name, TGI Friday also has an interesting background story of its origin. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.

Love Fridays excellent food and service and is consistent. The sirloin steak with 2 sides is excellent! I stay at the Marriott next door which is excellent too! Really convenient too! Prices are very fair as well!

I had a Jack Daniel's Steak dinner with salted caramel cake desert with ice cream , Linda had Chicken Bruschetta Pasta. The service was fast, the food well prepared, and they had a grapefruit margarita that was really good!

The food is standard tgi Fridays. It was pretty good. I sat at the bar as I always do. I ordered beer wife ordered beer. The low rating is the service. I sat here and ordered shots for myself and some servicemen two rounds. Sixty bucks just in alcohol not counting the beer. Afterwards the bartenders disappeared. I've been sitting here fifteen minutes and not one of them has said a word to me. Hope you like the ten percent tip. That's odd for me as my lowest is usually twenty percent for bad service.

I have been to This TGI Fridays multiple times over the past 3 years. The location is great. There is 3 hotels connected to this TGI Fridays. The parking lot is always full except past 10 pm most nights. All the other cars are hotel cars. There is a gas station across the street. And you could walk to a mall. You have to cross a 4 lane road but you could do it. I have before. This Fridays is also located 1-2 miles away from the Mohegan sun casino. When I first started going to this TGI service was hit or miss. There is one or two people still left from original staff. Now 3 years later the service is great staff is super friendly. They always remember me. I even had the hostess tell me the waitresses get mad when I don't get put in their section. I know 3 of the waitresses by name and we talk more about life and random stuff than we do food lol. The food is good it is chain food but the burgers are good and you can never go wrong with a drink and a appetizer like wings. Great atmosphere. It does get crowded during the busy times. Call for reservations. The parking lot isn't the biggest ether and is a bit tight when full. Other than that the place is great. Staff is super nice and I enjoy going to this TGI Fridays for a quick cheap meal. Can't go wrong. PROS: - location. A lot around - friendly staff -cheap CONS: -parking - busy during peak hours

Great place - I've been coming here for years. The food is great and I've never had a bad meal. Even their steaks are great - that's a pretty big deal for a chain restaurant. Great bar and I particularly enjoy the way they make Old Fashions - though I confess to having an Ultimate Strawberry Daiquiri from time to time. Though I am a grown man I also enjoy the Cup Of Dirt dessert - it contains chocolate pudding, crushed Oreo cookies, and gummy worms.

After an exhausting day of travel and work, my co-workers and I decided to dine at this TGI Friday's, which was located right next to our hotel. I have not been to a Friday's in a long time, but this location looked very old and dark. Hopefully, it will receive a renovation soon. I was most impressed by our waitress. She was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I ordered two margaritas and the pick-three appetizer with wings, crispy green bean fries, and pretzels with beer-cheese. Though on the weaker side, the margaritas were tasty. I knew that I already loved the crispy green bean fries and was delightfully surprised by how tasty the pretzels were. Overall, my experience was not unique or special, but I did enjoy the food and the service. However, I was shocked to receive my bill. Somehow, my two tiny drinks and one appetizer equaled $32 (without tip). I was shocked! I think a bill this high for such little food is absolutely absurd.

Decent specials. I come here from time to time for a drink and some apps. I'm not a big fan of their entrees though; the only thing I really like is their cajun pasta. The flatbread appetizer is pretty boring as well. For standard bar food and drinks, it's not too bad.

I've gone here quite a few times, but my main reason for going is the sesame Jack chicken strips and that amazing Jack Daniels sauce! They also have awesome chicken tenders and fries. The ribs are hit or miss. I've had then multiple times and sometimes their food and others they aren't so great. The cheese and broccoli soup is also good....and I don't even like broccoli!
(3)Jason L.
Solid service and good food quality. Almost never a wait for a table. As far as chains go, this location is near the top.
(4)David D.
It literally is the only place that's open late and serves food and drink. The pretzel app was buttery and served with a beer/cheese sauce, so thumbs up. The lettuce they use on the burgers is pretty good. That is the end of the good things. Fries were undercooked. The bean burger was dry. The blue cheese bacon burger was a petrified salt sandwich. Pretty much what you expect from a chain.

A Friday's that actually was decent. Maybe it was because I was hungry, or maybe it was because there was so much traffic or who the hell knows, but this Friday's really seemed like a fun place. Definitely a locals place for lunch, there were a lot of people in business gear there when I arrived. I had an hour or so to kill so I settled in at the bar and sampled the frosty brews and the appetizers that Friday's is known for. All in all it was a good time. The bartender was super nice - then again everyone outside of the NYC / Long Island area is super nice - and it made the time fly by. There is also a Holiday Inn next door - I guess in case you hook up with someone... ;)

TGI Friday's just isn't what it used to be. The menu has shrunk. The food is now "kit food" and it comes across as "just another wood and fern" joint (see Chili's, Applebee's, etc.). We were going through town on our road trip and this one was conveniently located near our hotel. It is actually attached to a hotel as well. Granted, it was a holiday weekend, but it was a madhouse. Very busy. The food took a bit longer than we hoped but the server at least warned us ahead of time. The saving grace of Friday's is that we can usually count on the food being what we ordered and at least fresh/well cooked.

One of my favorite chain restaurants in Wilkes-Barre. They have several meals on the menu that are low in price, and all portions are big. Food is always served quickly, even when they are busy, and most of the staff is very friendly. As a bonus, if you join their rewards club, you can get very good coupons and discounts that make your meal even cheaper. My husband and I used this to our advantage and got several buy one get one free meals over the past year.
(4)M L.
Nice atmosphere though loud, decent food if you like chain food fare.
(2)Amanda G.
My friends and I love going to this Friday's. They renovated it in the past few years and made it look cooler too. The bar is usually pretty busy, and the food is always good. Fun atmosphere guaranteed.
